I am not a current or prospective HESA student. Can I apply for a SPA assistantship?
The SPA program currently serves HESA students.
Is a SPA assistantship required to be a HESA student?
No. HESA students fund their studies through a variety of means. We encourage students to work in higher education – whether through an assistantship or otherwise – while completing their studies to make the most of our theory-to-practice model.
I have started the SPA process. Am I guaranteed an assistantship?
The SPA team works diligently to match admitted students with assistantship opportunities. However, we are unable to guarantee funding for admitted students.
Do you offer application fee waivers?
SPA is unable to provide fee waivers. However, you may determine your eligibility for fee waivers via Graduate and Professional admissions.
Can SPA waive any academic application requirements (e.g., letter of recommendation, proof of English, etc.)?
The Graduate School sets and upholds all application criteria. We are unable to waive any parts of the application.
